hey, I am a friend of gordon's and followed his link to your blog. Placid is a great race. It was my toughest day of IM racing, but tough in a good way. Swim can be rough but if you are confident it can be fast.
have fun and can't wait to follow along. by the way, no idea that you were Australian. but the beauty of that is you probably have no clue who i am. hope we get to meet in October.
